An overwhelming majority of F1 fans do not wish to see reverse grid races being introduced at grands prix weekends going forward.

Recently, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali suggested such a major format change could become a reality for the sport.

"I do believe there are possibilities to extend two things, which we need to discuss, both with the drivers and the teams, and, of course, with the FIA," Domenicali told The Race.

"There are: can we apply that [sprint schedules] with more races? And is this the right formula to have the possibility to have a reversed grid, as we are doing with F2 and F3? These are points of discussion.”

A reverse grid race would mark one of the most dramatic rule changes in the history of the sport.

It prompted RacingNews365 to ask you, the fans, if you would like to see sprint races introduced in the future.

63 per cent of responses argued that sprint races do not belong in the sport in any capacity.

However, almost one-third of fans who voted are keen to see the reverse grid introduced for the sprint races that are held six times per season.
