F1 drivers could be set for a punishing 2025 Austrian Grand Prix weekend with temperatures expected to soar in the Styrian hills.
Current forecasts are for air temperatures in the low 30 degrees region, which could see track temperatures rise to over 50 degrees celsius.
This will have a major impact on cooling and on the Pirelli tyres, with the C3, C4, and C5 rubber serving as the hard, medium, and soft compounds, respectively.
There is a small possibility of thunderstorms on Friday morning, but these will clear well before the F1 on-track action begins on Friday afternoon.
Current forecasts is for the wind to be blowing from the north west on Friday and Saturday, before a change to the north east on Sunday for the race.
This corresponds to a rough headwind into the prime overtaking spot of Turn 3 on Friday and Saturday, before the long run to Turn 4 should be aided by the head-wind for the 71-lap race itself.
