Nico Hulkenberg is set to be disqualified from the Bahrain Grand Prix, following post-race checks of his Stake Sauber.
The checks conducted by the FIA found that the German's car had sustained excessive wear to the plank, an identical issue which saw Lewis Hamilton disqualified in China.
To comply with article 3.5.9.e of the technical regulations, the three measurement points of the plank must measure 9 mm.
In Hulkenberg's case, they measured 8.4, 8.5 and 8.4 mm, meaning a disqualification is the natural punishment following his summons. He had finished in 13th.
