Charles Leclerc edged out teammate Carlos Sainz as Ferrari secured a front-row lockout for the inaugural Miami Grand Prix.
Leclerc posted a time of 1:28.796 to lead Sainz by two-tenths of a second, with Red Bull left in the Scuderia's wake.
Max Verstappen was quickest after the first runs, but made a mistake on his final effort en route to third, followed by teammate Sergio Perez.
Valtteri Bottas was the 'best of the rest' for Alfa Romeo in fifth, as Lewis Hamilton led Mercedes' charge in sixth.
George Russell was unable to make it out of Q2 in the other Mercedes and will start back in 12th.
