George Russell put Mercedes at the top of the timesheets in Friday's second practice session for the inaugural Miami Grand Prix.
Russell clocked a time of 1:29.938 on the Soft compound tyre to finish a tenth clear of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, with Red Bull's Sergio Perez a tenth further back.
Lewis Hamilton completed an encouraging session and day for Mercedes in fourth, as Fernando Alonso rounded out the top five in his Alpine.
Carlos Sainz finished back in 11th in the other Ferrari, having crashed out of proceedings.
