Max Verstappen has taken his second World Championship after winning the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka.
There was some ambiguity over whether the Dutchman had secured the title due to the application of points, but it was later clear that full points were awarded due to a rule discrepancy about the race being restarted after a red flag.
Charles Leclerc was also penalised five seconds for a late move on Sergio Perez at the final corner, which dropped him to third at the flag.
Elsewhere Esteban Ocon held off Lewis Hamilton to finish in the top five, while Sebastian Vettel was sixth on his final appearance at the Suzuka circuit.
Nicholas Latifi took his first points of the season finishing in ninth.
