Dutch Grand Prix 2023 The latest F1 news about the 2023 F1 Dutch Grand Prix

The Dutch Grand Prix will take place on 27 August 2023. Circuit Zandvoort, located in the dunes, will be the venue for the race west of Amsterdam.

The Dutch Grand Prix on the Zandvoort circuit

All Formula 1 teams are back after the summer break during the Netherlands Grand Prix weekend from 25 to 27 August.

Qualifying on the Zandvoort circuit

Qualifying saw a new face on the grid, namely reserve driver Liam Lawson. He replaced Daniel Ricciardo, who broke his hand during free practice. Before the start, the rain poured down, making for a wet track. Only in Q3 was it possible to drive on slicks. However, it was still so slippery that Logan Sargeant and Charles Leclerc crashed and caused a red flag. In the end, Max Verstappen placed on pole position, followed by Lando Norris and George Russell. Alexander Albon also drove a rock-solid qualifying session and placed P4.

Dutch Grand Prix

Soon after the start of the Dutch Grand Prix, rain started to fall again. Red Bull's Sergio Perez made a quick pit stop for intermediates, which ensured he ended up on P1. But Verstappen drove hard and after a pit stop for softs, he took the lead again. After a number of crashes by Logan Sargeant and others, dry and wet spells made for a crazy race. A red flag also followed towards the end of the race due to the heavy downpour passing over the track. The atmosphere among the fans in the stands is good. Despite the rain, a big party is being built to the music being played. After the rolling restart, Max Verstappen takes P1, Fernando Alonso P2 and Pierre Gasly on P3. Reserve driver Liam Lawson drives a good race and finishes on P13.
