At just 18 years old, British-Swedish driver Arvid Lindblad will make his Formula 1 debut with Racing Bulls in 2026, becoming the only rookie on the. Lindblad was born on August 8, 2007, in Virginia Water.
He began karting at the age of five and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming British Cadet Champion in 2018. In 2020, he won the WSK Super Master Series in the OKJ class, which caught Red Bull’s attention. In 2021, he joined the Red Bull Junior Team, winning both the WSK Euro Series and the WSK Final Cup.
Lindblad made his Italian Formula 4 debut in 2022. After a challenging start, he surged forward in 2023, securing three wins with Prema Racing and claiming a major victory at the Macau Grand Prix.
F3 and F2
In 2024, he moved up to Formula 3, breaking several records by winning sprint races at just 16 years old. His season included a victory at Silverstone, and he scored a total of 113 points.
Between 2024 and 2025, Lindblad excelled in the Formula Regional Oceania Championship before stepping up to Formula 2 with Campos Racing in 2025, where he became the youngest race winner. He mixed strong performances with tougher weekends and ultimately finished sixth in the championship.
Red Bull also ran Lindblad in several free practice sessions. He ultimately earned a direct promotion to Formula 1 with Racing Bulls.
