Damon Hill is to return to Sky Sports F1 screens in a brand-new documentary, charting his life and career.
The 1996 world champion departed from his pundit role at the end of the 2024 campaign, having been a part of Sky's inaugural presenting line-up since 2012.
A late bloomer to F1 racing at 32, Hill was central to the key storylines of F1 in the 1990s, including leading Williams through the loss of Ayrton Senna in 1994, the iconic championship battle with Michael Schumacher that year before finally winning the title in '96, having lost his Williams seat.
Combining homemade videos, frank interviews and never-seen-before footage, the documentary is set to air across Sky Sports from July 2nd, the week of the British Grand Prix, which Hill won in 1994, something his late father Graham, himself a two-time champion, never achieved.
"This film is a highly personal telling of my life and Formula 1 career," Hill explained.
"It reveals my real motivation to succeed and how the death of my father, Graham Hill, affected me.
"It is also a tale of trying to win a world championship, racing against the toughest competitors in an ultra-uncompromising world, the tension that was placed on my family and how I tried to keep a balanced perspective against a backdrop of chaos and stress.
"I know I’m biased, but I think you will love this film whether you are a total Formula 1 nut, or just someone looking for a great uplifting film to watch.
"I’m really proud of how this film turned out. I think it’s a real gem."
