Charles Leclerc has revealed that he is still "struggling" with Ferrari's brakes, insisting that a "solution" has yet to be found at the Monaco Grand Prix.
The Monegasque looked quick on the opening day at the Circuit de Monaco, setting the fastest time in first practice and the second-fastest time in second practice.
However, the home hero locked up several times, with his brake issues having carried over from the Canadian Grand Prix.
Leclerc was unhappy throughout the recent round in Montreal and conceded that, with braking still proving to be an issue in Monaco, his confidence has taken a hit.
"Unfortunately, for the past two weekends I've been facing some issues with the brakes, and I'm struggling on my side with them at the moment," said Leclerc. "So we're trying to find a solution.
"We haven't found one so far, but we'll keep working on it and try to make sure we take a step forward for tomorrow.
"In FP2, I just lost a little bit of confidence because of that, but we're working on it."
Leclerc was seen having particular difficulties at Mirabeau (Turn 5), where he found himself having to take to the escape road on multiple occasions.
Asked why he struggled at Mirabeau so much, Leclerc explained: "It's just a very tricky situation. It's a combination of things, and Monaco is obviously difficult, but with the brakes I'm not super confident at the moment.
"That's why I've been making a few more mistakes over the past two weekends, at least under braking with the lock-ups, and it's just been a lot trickier."
