Charles Leclerc has labelled Lando Norris' F1 title win as “beautiful” following the Briton's triumph earlier this month.
Norris took over at the head of the standings late in the season as he went on a streak of consistently outscoring team-mate Oscar Piastri.
However, in the final rounds, Norris had to fend off a fresh threat from Max Verstappen as Red Bull enjoyed a positive uptick in form.
Verstappen ended the year just two points down on Norris, allowing the Briton to claim a maiden F1 title.
When asked by media including RacingNews365 to provide his thoughts on Norris' success, Leclerc said: “That’s why I love our sport so much, it’s the emotions.
"No matter how much you want to beat your opponents, to see someone’s face as happy as Lando’s is something that is beautiful to see.
“It’s the ultimate dream for every one of us on this grid.
“He’s been fulfilling it this year and I’m very happy for him. He deserves it.”
Ferrari and Leclerc endured a challenging campaign as it failed to win a grand prix across the entire campaign.
But with a new era commencing next year under fresh technical regulations, Leclerc is hopeful it will catapult him into a position to challenge for the title.
"Now it’s up to me to keep chasing it and hopefully make his [Norris'] life harder next year,” he said.
