Charles Leclerc voiced his dissatisfaction with Max Verstappen over team radio after he felt the Dutchman had disrupted his final push lap in qualifying for the United States Grand Prix.
The Ferrari driver will line up third at the Circuit of the Americas, whilst the four-time F1 drivers' champion will start the 53-lap race from pole.
The pair encountered each other on track during Leclerc's last timed run, which was all the more important for the Monegasque driver after he spun at the final corner on his first attempt.
He ultimately felt Verstappen — who was on an out lap, and did not reach the start/finish line in time for his own final run — had affected him.
At the previous round, in Singapore, the Red Bull driver had been unhappy with Lando Norris for disturbing the clear air ahead of his RB21 with the turbulent wake of his McLaren whilst on a cooldown lap.
Verstappen promptly abandoned the effort and settled for second on the grid, behind the Mercedes of George Russell. After the session, he stated he would "remember" the incident.
However, Leclerc feels the 28-year-old is guilty of the same indiscretion, taking to team radio to express his disapproval after qualifying at COTA.
"What Max did is... He cannot complain in Singapore when he does the same elsewhere, so... anyway," the eight-time grand prix winner said before being asked by race engineer Bryan Bozzi to open his DRS on the back straight and told he had secured third on the grid.
"Fuck sake. It's a shame for the traffic," the 27-year-old added, to which Bozzi interjected: "DRS, DRS Charles, DRS."
Leclerc snapped back: "Yes, yes, yes, yes! Don't tell me things 10 times, I'm on the DRS."
