Aston Martin has signed former Mick Schumacher race engineer Gary Gannon to a senior role in its F1 team.
Gannon, who has departed Haas after 10 seasons and has already started work at Aston Martin, has been appointed as a senior race engineer, the team confirmed to RacingNews365.
The Silverstone-based team has not confirmed if Gannon will be working with Fernando Alonso or Lance Stroll for the coming 2025 season.
Alonso has worked with Chris Cronin since joining the team in 2023, with Stroll paired with Ben Michell - the two first teaming up in 2021.
Cronin had previously worked with Sebastian Vettel during his two-year stint with the team, whilst Michell had stints in MotoGP, at Caterham F1 and finally Toro Rosso.
Gannon is an F1 veteran having started in 2011 with the now-defunct Marussia team, before joining Haas ahead of its first season in 2016.
He was initially paired with Romain Grosjean, serving as his engineer during his fiery 2020 Bahrain GP accident, before the Frenchman's departure after that incident.
Gannon then worked with Mick Schumacher in his rookie 2021 season and into 2022, before Nico Hulkenberg replaced his fellow German ahead of 2023, spending two seasons working with Gannon.
