F1 looks set for a dry and warm Monaco Grand Prix, with weather conditions unlikely to play a major role in determining the outcome around the streets of Monte Carlo.
After a largely settled weekend in the Principality, race day has dawned under sunny skies and pleasant temperatures.
Forecasts indicate dry conditions throughout the day, with sunshine expected to dominate from the morning through to the late afternoon.
Temperatures are forecast to rise steadily from the high teens during the morning to around 26-27°C by the time the lights go out for the grand prix.
Humidity levels are expected to remain manageable, while winds should stay light, offering drivers and teams a stable platform for the 78-lap race.
The weather has been consistent across the weekend. Friday's practice sessions were held in warm sunshine, while Saturday's final practice and qualifying also took place in dry conditions. Although there had been a small possibility of an isolated shower in the wider region earlier in the week, that threat has now all but disappeared.
There is less than a five per cent chance of precipitation and only light winds throughout the afternoon, with uninterrupted sunshine and warm Mediterranean conditions anticipated.
Track temperatures are expected to climb significantly above ambient levels as the sun continues to shine on the circuit, potentially influencing tyre management and strategy.
However, with overtaking traditionally difficult around Monaco, qualifying pace and track position are still likely to prove far more decisive than any weather-related factors.
Barring an unexpected change in local conditions, teams can prepare for a straightforward weather picture as F1 tackles one of the most famous races on the calendar.
The Monaco Grand Prix begins at 15:00 local time.
