The Las Vegas Grand Prix commenced the final three rounds of the 2025 F1 season, forming the start of a triple header.

With the title fight in its closing stages, there was a dramatic twist in the tail as the McLaren duo of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were disqualified from the race, while Max Verstappen produced a strong drive to seal the win.

Check out our driver ratings from Las Vegas below, and make sure to let us know what you rated the drivers in the comments!

The top five

Max Verstappen - 9.5

Once again, it was vintage Verstappen. Although he was disappointed to miss out on pole, he capitalised on a mistake from Norris at the start of the race, before going unrivalled en route to the chequered flag. He managed the race admirably to keep his once-unlikely title hopes alive ahead of the final two rounds of the year.

George Russell - 9

Russell's biggest disappointment from the weekend came in qualifying when he ended the session in fourth after being tipped as a contender for pole. A power steering issue impacted his session and he suffered further woes in the race. A strong drive to second was almost undone by a major tyre drop off, however he held on to secure his first podium since Singapore.

Kimi Antonelli - 9

Like his team-mate, Antonelli was left underwhelmed after qualifying after exiting the session in Q1. He also picked up an early race penalty for a false start for the most minor of movements before the lights went out. An early pit stop saw him jump several cars when the rest of the field pitted and in the final laps, he held off Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc in an extremely mature fashion. It proved crucial, as he was later promoted to the podium.

Carlos Sainz - 8.5

Williams expected the Las Vegas F1 weekend to suit its car, but a top-three starting position and P5 (after the double McLaren DSQ) is a mighty return for Sainz, who bagged his best result of the season bar his incredible podium in Azerbaijan.

Isack Hadjar - 8.5

By his own admission, Hadjar suffered a boring race. But if you're running in the points, boring is good. Arguably the most impressive rookie driver this year, Hadjar's ripe performance in Las Vegas further places him in a strong position for a Red Bull promotion next year.

The bottom five

Oscar Piastri - 5.5

Piastri so very badly needed the Las Vegas weekend to swing in his favour after his recent slump. Although the double McLaren DSQ ensured his deficit to Norris did not increase, he lacked pace to his team-mate all through the weekend once again. To add to his woes, he is now tied on points with Verstappen as the F1 title battle prepares for an almighty end-of-season showdown.

Liam Lawson - 5.5

With much uncertainty surrounding the line-up of the Red Bull teams next year, Lawson's performances are being scrutinised. In Las Vegas, he got Turn 1 wrong and his Piastri which resulted in a damaged front wing that ultimately undid his race.

Yuki Tsunoda - 5.5

Tsunoda's Red Bull tenure seems done and dusted beyond the end of the current campaign. In qualifying, the team admitted to a tyre pressure error that left him uncompetitive before he was relegated to the pit lane for the race following changes to his car. He finished in 14th place on the road before post-race penalties were applied, almost 90 seconds down on race-winning team-mate Verstappen.

Alex Albon - 4

Looking at the pace of team-mate Sainz, Las Vegas was a missed opportunity for Albon. The Thai driver's qualifying session ended with a crash before he mucked up the opening corner and picked up damage. He would eventually retire from the race due to the issues he was carrying, ending a nightmare weekend.

Gabriel Bortoleto - 3

The Sauber rookie has had a rough couple of weeks in F1. Following his concerns in Brazil, Bortoleto ended qualifying in the Q1 drop zone and went too aggressive on the opening lap of the race and caused a multi-car collision, earning himself a five-place grid penalty for the Qatar Grand Prix this weekend.
