AIX Racing's Nikita Bedrin scored a first-career FIA Formula 3 win in a historic sprint race at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Bedrin overtook Dino Beganovic on the opening lap by going around the outside of Turn 3, with the Prema driver sitting behind the Italian for most of the 18 laps, but on lap 10, Beganovic tried to lunge up the inside of Turn 2.
He failed to brake in time, allowing Bedrin and team-mate Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak through to lead one-two, which is where the two finished.
It is the first career podium for Inthraphuvasak, who becomes the first Thai to finish on the podium on an F1 weekend since Alex Albon at the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix for Red Bull.
Beganovic was third with championship-leading Gabriele Mini 14th.
Nearest challengers Arvid Lindblad also failed to score in 12th, with Luke Browning picking up three points for his eighth place finish, climbing above Lindblad into second place.
