Zandvoort hit by heavy rain on F1 qualifying day

The circuit has been hit by a weather front ahead of final practice.

Heavy rain has hit Zandvoort ahead of final pratcice and qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix. Drivers will be faced with a new challenge of a wet track on banked corners should running be possible after a weather front hit the seaside venue. Whilst the track will almost certainly remain wet for the final practice session, the forecast for the rest of the day suggests the rain will remain ahead of qualifying. Lando Norris was the fastest in the dry on Friday, the McLaren driver narrowly beating home favourite Max Verstappen to the top spot. Final practice gets underway at 11:30 CET [10:30 BST], before qualifying begins at 15:00 CET [14:00 BST].
