The F1 stewards have issued a summons to Williams after the team failed to provide video footage of its rear wing following practice in China.

The FIA is currently monitoring the rear wings of every team after their flexing abilities were subject to stricter tests from the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.

All 10 F1 teams were declared to be legal in Melbourne, however the FIA then decided to impose further restrictions regarding flexing wings from China.

It resulted in some teams having to change their rear wing configuration for the second round of the campaign, where the FIA would continue to study the assemblies.

But following the sole practice session in China, Williams did not provide the FIA with onboard footage to monitor its rear wing.

As a result, the team has been called to the stewards, with a statement reading: “The Atlassian Williams Racing team failed to provide the video files recorded by the wireless forward and rearward facing cameras within one hour after the end of the first free practice session, as described in the procedure 'Additional Diagnostic' of the Technical Directive TD034L.

“The video files recorded by these cameras are used to monitor compliance with the first paragraph of Article 3.2.2 and furthermore as referred to in Article 3.15.16 of the 2025 Formula One Technical Regulations.”

Williams has not yet spoken out on the matter and if it has a reasonable explanation as to why it failed to send the FIA its onboard footage.
