Williams has confirmed junior driver Luke Browning will take part in the first free practice session in Abu Dhabi next month.

It marks Browning's third FP1 session of the year following appearances in Bahrain and Mexico City.

Browning is currently racing full-time in the Formula 2 championship, sitting third in the drivers' championship with two rounds remaining.

The Briton will combine his F2 duties in Abu Dhabi with an FP1, as he did 12 months ago around the Yas Marina Circuit.

Browning will also take part in the young driver test after the end of the season.

“It’s going to be an unforgettable weekend in Abu Dhabi fighting for the Formula 2 title while getting back behind the wheel of the FW47, and it’s a challenge I’m going to relish,” Browning said.

“The young driver test will give me a final opportunity to help the team prepare for 2026 and I’m looking forward to being part of a Formula 1 weekend for the last time this season.

“Thank you to everyone at the driver academy and Williams for the trust once again.”
