Williams CEO and team boss Jost Capito believes that Alex Albon will thrive in his new environment. The British-Thai racer will return to the F1 grid with Williams in 2022, having secured a seat with the help of Red Bull after spending 2021 as their reserve and simulator driver. Albon struggled for pace and form alongside Max Verstappen at Red Bull, but Capito believes the environment he's created at Williams will allow Albon to refind his confidence and flourish alongside Nicholas Latifi. "I don't know how exactly it is at Red Bull," Capito told media, including RacingNews365.com , when asked about the different approach of Williams to Red Bull. "But I know here that we have an atmosphere that we want to make the drivers happy. I believe if the driver feels confident, he feels safe in the team, feels part of the team, then you get the best out of the drivers. "I don't know how it is at Red Bull but I think we've built a relationship with George [Russell] and with Nicky [Latifi] and how I did it before also in rallying. I think that's my style, and not every style is the same. "I have seen quite a lot of drivers flourish when they have been in the team where I was part of, so I'm sure Alex can do that as well." Capito believes that he can help get the maximum from Albon, saying that his previous experiences within motorsport make him experienced and well-rounded, and that it's simply a case of unlocking the talent to find form. "Alex, for me, is the best combination of experience and youth," Capito explained. "I absolutely believe the best for him is still to come. He went through a hard school. He's been at Mercedes, he's been at Red Bull. So he knows a lot and his experience is great. "I think also his personality is really exceptional. I think he is a very friendly, nice guy outside the cockpit, and when he gets in the cockpit, he is a real fighter."
