You will often hear Formula 1 drivers complain that the Safety Car is going "too slow" or their engines are "too hot" when they are stacked up behind the car for a couple of laps.
Drivers mainly want to get heat into the tyres and they have to stick to the pace of the Safety Car, which often conflicts with their preparation for a restart.
