The famous Imola race track hosts the seventh round of the F1 season this weekend, a venue that has been a happy hunting ground for Red Bull in recent years.

The Milton Keynes-based squad has won the last three grands prix staged at the historic track and will be aiming for another successful weekend this time around.

However, it will not be considered favourites heading into the event as McLaren seek its sixth win in seven to continue its strong start to the campaign.

Red Bull will nevertheless hit a major milestone at Imola as the team will start its 400th grand prix, becoming just the seventh squad in history to reach the number.

It will draw level with French manufacturer Renault on the all-time list for the number of race starts.

Topping the impressive table is Ferrari, who remain the only team to start more than 1,000 races.

It is followed by McLaren (976) and Williams (857), before the arrival of Lotus and Tyrrell - two teams that no longer compete in F1. Red Bull is on course to overtake Tyrrell on the list during the 2026 season.

As it happens, Red Bull is not taking its 400th race weekend as the 2005 United States Grand Prix is not included in the list. Red Bull withdrew from that race, along with every other team that ran Michelin tyres due to safety concerns.
