The role of a race engineer in F1 is one of the most important in the sport.

They provide a direct link between the driver and the pit wall and feed the driver crucial information throughout weekend sessions.

You will often hear their voices over the team radio as they play out on the live broadcast, making for some memorable interactions between driver and engineer.

But who are the race engineers who are in constant communication with the drivers during race weekends?

McLaren

Will Joseph once again serves as Lando Norris' race engineer, as the Briton goes in the hunt of his maiden F1 world championship. Team-mate Oscar Piastri enters his third season on the grid and will work alongside Olympic silver medalist Tom Stallard (below) who like Joseph, has long been associated with the McLaren team.
