Visa Cash App RB pass major test ahead of 2024 launch

The team's new car will be unveiled on February 8th in Las Vegas.

Visa Cash App RB has passed a major test in the birth of its first Formula 1 car, by powering up the Red Bull Powertrains-Honda power unit. The team, which has rebadged from AlphaTauri for the 2024 season, will once again be powered by the same engine as the senior Red Bull team which the in-house power unit manufacturer will provide, along with support from Honda once again. The car is to be unveiled at a special launch event in Las Vegas on February 8th - three days before Super Bowl LVIII in the city where the new livery will be revealed with the team set to run drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda once again. There have been major changes to the leadership of the team throughout the winter with Laurent Mekies taking up team principal duties from the retired Franz Tost with Peter Bayer starting his first full season as CEO.
