McLaren are preparing for their first season with Mercedes engines since 2014 and the team is no doubt keen to make the partnership a success after releasing a video of them firing up the power unit for the first time.

The last time the two joined forces McLaren took home 78 grand prix victories, three drivers' championships and a constructor's title to cap off what was undoubtedly a successful agreement.

Although things haven't been as smooth in recent times, with the Woking based team making their third power unit change in seven years, there is optimism this time will be different given their strong 2020 Formula 1 campaign that saw them finish third in the constructors' championship.

McLaren returned to the podium at the first race of the 2020 season, but will they do one better in 2021 and take home victory? Time will tell, but in the meantime enjoy the sound of the Mercedes engine as team members watch on attentively.
