Vettel wants to win all the races

Aston Martin's Sebastian Vettel jokingly tells the press that his goal for the season is to win every single Grand Prix on the 2021 F1 calendar.

Four-time Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel jokingly remarks that his ambition for the season is to win every single race this year. Having left Ferrari at the end of 2020, Vettel joined the newly branded Aston Martin Racing outfit. The team formerly known as Racing Point finished fourth in last year's standings though Vettel is keeping his expectations in check for this coming year. "Win all the races, I mean why bother finishing in the points?" Vettel joked to RacingNews365.com among others. "Obviously, we have had very little testing and that's for everyone, not just for us. I think it's impossible to have a pecking order but come Saturday we will definitely know more. Then I think we can make more predictions. But now, to be honest, there's no point getting into that." Vettel also offered his insight into how he feels the running order might play out in Bahrain. "I think the big favourites are clearly Mercedes and Redbull," Vettel continued. "Then I imagine at this stage it is going to be very tight behind them." Vettel went on to discuss his relationship with Lance Stroll, the German's new teammate, stating that he isn't racing just Stroll but everyone on the grid. "I don't race Lance, I race everyone on the grid and I feel that we do as a team," Vettel explained. "We didn't do enough running and I think also on Lance's side it wasn't smooth. So we will see when we get out tomorrow and everybody's on the track at the same time with the same conditions." The Aston Martin team got off to a tought start with Vettel completing the least amount of laps of all the 20 regular drivers on the grid. This certainly puts them at a disadvantage as they look to make up lost ground.
