Verstappen's Redline teammates claim Virtual Le Mans success

Team Redline claimed success in the Virtual Le Mans 24 Hours, but not with Max Verstappen's #1 car.

The sister car of Max Verstappen's #1 Team Redline entry have claimed victory in the Virtual Le Mans 24 Hours, after the Formula 1 champion's retirement. Verstappen's #1 entry retired after connection issues, leading him to brand the event a "clown show" and declaring that he would not be back in the next running. Meanwhile, the #2 crew featuring reigning Formula 2 champion Felipe Drugovich, IndyCar and Formula E racer Felix Rosenqvist, Chris Lulham and Luke Bennett were able to steer their way to victory at the Circuit de la Sarthe. Lulham was at the controls as the LMP machine crossed the line to claim victory, hours after the event was suspended thanks to a suspected security breach. Verstappen was also plagued by connection issues during his assault on the event last time out, dropping out this time around with the car shared by Jeffrey Rietveld, Luke Browning and Diogo Pinto while leading from the #2 with a one minute lead and seven hours left on the clock.
