The race suit Max Verstappen used to win the 2023 Canadian Grand Prix is to be auctioned off for a long-time partner charity of the Red Bull Formula 1 team. Verstappen claimed his sixth victory of the season in Montreal, extending his points lead to 69 over teammate Sergio Perez as he matched Ayrton Senna's tally of 41 career wins. The victory was also the 100th for the Red Bull in Grand Prix racing and the 200th for design guru Adrian Newey. To celebrate, the suit Verstappen wore in Canada is set to be signed by the two-time World Champion and auctioned off for Wings for Life - a long-term Red Bull partner charity that is dedicated to spinal cord research. Red Bull have previously run special liveries for Wings for Life , with the winner of the auction also receiving a 'Meet and Greet' with Verstappen at the Milton Keynes base and a tour of the facilities. It will be auctioned off by F1 Authentics. "This suit has a place in the team and Max's history books," boss Christian Horner said. "100% of the winning auction bid will go directly towards funding spinal cord injury research." Emma Hind - the CEO of Wings for Life UK - added that both "Red Bull and Max Verstappen are incredible supports of Wings for Life and this historic worn race suit will help raise vital funds for pioneering research projects that have and will continue to change people's lives."
