Verstappen would like to see these tracks on the F1 calendar

With F1's expanding calendar in the United States, Max Verstappen has picked out the circuits he would most like to race on in the future.

Max Verstappen has named the circuits he would most like to see on the Formula 1 calendar. With the expansion of Las Vegas this year and Miami recently hosting its second race in F1, talks are being mooted about a potential fourth race in the US for the future. Even though Verstappen has openly said he prefers permanent circuits over street venues, he is a fan of having more races in the US. "I like a normal circuit more, but I really like to come to America. I find a normal circuit, such as in Austin for example, a bit more challenging. However, the city itself, Miami, is a lot of fun," the two-time world champion tells media, including RacingNews365.com .

Two American road courses?

Even though F1 has raced at Indianapolis before, Verstappen has two road courses on his list that he would like to see on the calendar in the future. "I like Virginia too," he said referring to the Virginia International Raceway, which he has raced at through esports. "Maybe in an F1 car a little less, but for GTs it is [a good track]. Road America is also very beautiful. They are fast circuits, but if you drive on a certain circuit, then there must always be a certain adjustment to the circuit." A return to Mugello?

When asked about which historical circuit he would like to return to the calendar, he pointed to Mugello, which appeared on the F1 schedule during the 2020 COVID-affected season. "I do want to see Mugello again. I haven't raced that much there either, just two turns!" Verstappen's Tuscan GP only lasted a few corners before he was involved in a collision on the opening lap with Pierre Gasly, Kimi Raikkonen, and Romain Grosjean. "The circuit is very nice. Like Imola, that's also a nice circuit, absolutely," he concludes. Check out the video of Virginia International Raceway below.
