Max Verstappen has had to wait a considerable time to add a touch of ultimate luxury to his life. Placing an order two years ago, the four-time F1 champion has finally taken possession of a yacht, a 33-metre Mangusta GranSport 33, estimated to cost over £10 million (€12m; $12.33m). According to Gazzetta dello Sport Verstappen was accompanied by partner Kelly Piquet, and others, arriving in cars with blacked-out windows in the Italian port city of Viareggio, and the Mangusta shipyard. It is understood Verstappen has named the yacht, 'Unleash the Lion', a phrase that has become associated with the 27-year-old over time. It is unclear if Verstappen will continue to moor the yacht in Viareggio, move it to his home of Monaco, or maybe even somewhere in the Netherlands. Verstappen has followed in the footsteps of other athletes to have purchased Mangusta yachts, such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Roberto Mancini. Note: The yacht below is similar to the one Verstappen has purchased.
