F1 World Champion Max Verstappen was targeted by his teammates and joined by a surprise guest during a hilarious running of the Real Racers Never Quit charity race. The Team Redline event was held in place of F1's race at Imola to raise funds for the Emilia Romagna Flood Relief Effort in response to the flooding and landslides that have led to deaths in the Italian region. Verstappen won race one but was instantly the target for the other drivers, being taken out of contention in the second race where Mazda MX-5s were used. A switch back to single-seaters in the third race saw McLaren's Lando Norris join affairs having watched along with proceedings on his own Twitch stream. The Briton's struggles behind the wheel left him open to lighthearted criticism from the event commentary as well as the other drivers. Norris did provide laughter when jumping the entire field at the start of the final race, before being caught by Verstappen for an F1 driver showdown. The Dutchman escaped the incident as the field bunched up, with Norris predictably in the middle of the carnage. Red Bull juniors Ayumu Iwasa, Jak Crawford, Isack Hadjar and Enzo Fittipaldi were also present, as was reigning F2 champion and Aston Martin development driver Felipe Drugovich and Alpine reserve driver Jack Doohan. The entertaining stream - which was watched by almost 25,000 viewers on Twitch - followed a s imilar event held by Williams on Saturday , which saw Alex Albon and Team Principal James Vowles take to the track. Albon failed to reach the end of the race after being disqualified for ignoring blue flags.
