Max Verstappen's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix penalty has left F1 fans in a predicament, resulting in one of the closest polls RacingNews365 has run.
The four-time world champion received a 10-second time penalty for causing an opening corner collision with Oscar Piastri.
Verstappen attempted an overtake on the McLaren driver, but sent the pair spinning after veering wide.
It ended both drivers chances of finishing on the podium, with Piastri finishing 10th and Verstappen in sixth.
The incident has divided F1 fans, with 30% of those who voted believing that the penalty was fair. However, 34% believe the 27-year-old should not have been penalised at all.
Interestingly, 14% agree a penalty was correct, but that it should have been a five-second time penalty, rather than 10 seconds.
This was the least voted for answer, with 22% insisting Verstappen received a harsher punishment than 10 seconds.
