Max Verstappen took to social media on Wednesday evening to react to the news of Sergio Perez's exit from the team.
Red Bull confirmed after four years, the Mexican driver had left his role as a driver and would not return to the cockpit in 2025.
With 90 grands prix together, Verstappen and Perez sit as each other's longest serving team-mates.
However, the partnership will come to an end ahead of the 2025 season with Verstappen set to have a new stable-mate.
Verstappen released a short message on social media in tribute to his now former team-mate in Perez.
“It’s been an absolute pleasure driving alongside you,” it read.
“We’ve had some amazing moments together that I’ll always remember. Thank you, Checo!”
Red Bull has detailed Verstappen's new team-mate will be announced in due course.
