Max Verstappen has declared that "a lot of people see what I see" in regards to McLaren'son-going flexi-wing saga.
The rear-wing of the McLaren has been under fierce scrutiny since the 2024 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, with the wing flexing under load.
This allows the car to dump drag even when the DRS is not activated, with the FIA currently clamping down on flexi-wings across the field, with new rules for front-wings set to be introduced at June's Spanish Grand Prix to toughen tests.
All downforce-producing wings flex under load, but the degree to which the MCL39's does has raised eyebrows, with the FIA also introducing tougher tests for the Chinese and Japanese GPs - although McLaren insisted it did not have to change or modify its wings.
Speaking about the situation, Red Bull racer Verstappen simply observed what he is seeing.
"I don't make the rules," Verstappen told media including RacingNews365.
"I'm also not the one enforcing them, so what I see, probably a lot of people see."
When then asked if he had asked any questions about the rear-wing flexing, Verstappen explained that he had not.
"No, no, I know what is going on, but for me, I just like to focus on our car.
"Our car is the only thing that I can [control].
"Everyone is always pushing the boundaries, and it is up to the FIA to decide what is allowed, but I am not disappointed [in Red Bull not delivering a similar rear-wing], as everyone is trying to do their best, and maybe, some people read the regulations maybe a bit differently."
