In the history of the United States Grand Prix at Austin, there has only ever been one wet race - in 2015, when Lewis Hamilton secured his third world title. But there is little chance of expecting rain to disrupt the race in Texas with a summery temperature of 28 degrees set to hit the state capital. It can often be remarkably warm in October in Austin, with the temperatures steadily rising throughout the day. It is to fall just short of tropical weather of 29 degrees, with a weak wind blowing in from the east - corresponding to a head-wind into the Turn 12 braking zone at the end of the back-straight. Track temperatures are set to rise to about 50 degrees for the 56-lap race in which title rivals Lando Norris and Max Verstappen share the front-row.
