Yuki Tsunoda has suggested that his radio messages are being specifically targeted by Formula 1 for broadcast purposes.

During race weekends, F1 often transmit radio messages from drivers and their race engineers to provide extra information.

Tsunoda's radio messages at the end of the Bahrain Grand Prix were screened amid RB's instructions to swap positions with teammate Daniel Ricciardo.

The Japanese driver took issue with the order before letting Ricciardo past, however his anger was evident when he almost made contact with Ricciardo at Turn 8 after the chequered flag.

Since the fallout, Tsunoda has vowed to improve his radio outbursts which have been a consistent theme during his stint in F1.

Tsunoda targeted

However, the 23-year-old has voiced belief that his messages are specifically targeted by F1's production team.

“It’s still a learning process and probably what I showed on Saturday [in Bahrain] was [the] opposite,” Tsunoda told media including RacingNews365.

“But I just keep reminding myself just before I jump into the car 'not pressing radio’, but just those things, I think also they love to pick myself to be honest, [for] those radio [messages].

“I'm not shouting [how] it looks on the radio, on the TV. I don't know, the more I say, it's getting worse.

“So I'm just going to say I’ll just try my best to improve. And you'll see it on the track from these races onwards.”
