Toto Wolff has criticised Isack Hadjar's "unsportsmanlike" reaction to Kimi Antonelli offering an apology after the Chinese GP Sprint.

On Lap 1 of the shorter race in Shanghai, a poor start from second dropped Antonelli down into the midfield, where he tried to go up the inside of Hadjar's Red Bull at Turn 6.

However, the Italian locked up on the cold tyres and hit the right-hand side of the RB22, causing damage which Hadjar was forced to carry through to his 15th-place finish.

For the incident, Antonelli was handed a 10-second time penalty, which he served during his pit stop under the Nico Hulkenberg-induced safety car as he eventually finished in fifth place.

Afterwards, in parc ferme, Antonelli approached Hadjar's Red Bull to apologise, with the latter seemingly not taking Antonelli's hand in apology, leading to Wolff to criticise Hadjar.

"Kimi forgot to activate the correct mode," Wolff explained post-Sprint to Sky Germany.

"He didn't have a boost, and if you're in the wrong mode, you just can't get away.

"It was clearly his mistake. I think 10 seconds is still a bit tough. In the end, he also cost Hadjar the race."

When then shown Hadjar brushing off Antonelli's apology, the Mercedes boss called the Frenchman "unsportsmanlike" and added that "you can't wave [Antonelli] away."
