One thing all F1 teams want from their two drivers is consistency in points scoring and for the second driver to hoover up as many points as the team leader.
In the case of McLaren, Oscar Piastri has 237 points to Lando Norris's 279 after 18 rounds, or three-quarters of the 24-race season.
That is a percentage rate of 84.94% from Piastri of Norris's total, which has propelled McLaren to the cusp of the F1 constructors' standings some 41 points ahead of Red Bull - whose own problems have been exposed by the same metric.
Max Verstappen's 331 points has been matched by just 144 from Sergio Perez, a conversion rate of 43.50%, some 41.44% lower than Piastri to Norris.
The highest figure across the grid is the 89.08% of Lewis Hamilton's 174 points scored by George Russell, with Kevin Magnussen coming in with the worst record, scoring just 27.27% of Nico Hulkenberg's 22 points.

NOTE: In the cases where a driver has had two team-mates during the season - Charles Leclerc, Alex Albon and Nico Hulkenberg - we have used the points scored in the races against each team-mate.
For example, the 16 points Leclerc hauled in Saudi Arabia do not count in the tally against Carlos Sainz after he missed that race, with a separate row for his replacement Oliver Bearman and so on.
