The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has traditionally been penned in as an opportunity for teams to hand their F1 rookies a practice team.
Teams are obligated to hand two FP1 outings to rookie drivers per season - this will increase to four from next year.
Over half of the F1 teams have confirmed they will field non-full-time drivers around the Yas Marina Circuit for the opening session.
Three drivers will have their first competitive F1 outings. They are Arthur Leclerc, Rio Hirakawa and Luke Browning who will step behind the wheel at Ferrari, McLaren and Williams respectively.
Isack Hadjar, who is being linked with a full-time F1 drive for 2025, will replace Max Verstappen for the session at Red Bull.
Felipe Drugovich and Ayumu Iwasa, who already have had outings for Aston Martin and RB respectively, will once again take part in FP1 on Friday.
