The Spanish Grand Prix is to further extend a remarkable record of not having a wet race to 30 years, with the 2025 event set to be dry.
The last time it rained in the Barcelona grand prix was for the 1996 race, dominated by Michael Schumacher for his first Ferrari win, meaning it will be 2026 at the earliest before it does rain for the race, with the circuit having a contract for '26 despite Madrid set to take the Spanish GP away.
Since then, every Spanish GP has been dry - comfortably the longest run on the F1 calendar for current tracks, with Monza in second, having last had rain during the 2008 race.
The forecast for the 2025 race is for temperatures around the 28-29 degree celsius mark, with winds coming from the South-West, corresponding to a head-wind along the main straight into Turn 1 which should aid overtaking.
