Sergio Perez has labelled the Singapore Grand Prix as Cadillac's "last chance" to get itself into the points-scoring positions this year.
The sport's newest team has endured a challenging campaign thus far and has not yet bagged a championship point as it continues to get up to speed in F1.
With Singapore being one of the more challenging circuits on the calendar, drivers are facing added peril with just one practice session taking place before the competitive sessions.
Perez, who is a race winner around the Marina Bay Circuit, is hopeful Cadillac can finally get itself on the scoresheet this weekend.
"It's a good opportunity for us," Perez told media including RacingNews365.
"Probably our last one to do something important, given the delta we currently have with the car and that we are not bringing anything.
"It's probably our last good chance to try and get a strong result here. That will be a crucial one for us."
Perez hints at Cadillac risk in Singapore
The Singapore weekend is the final sprint event of the year, giving teams two bites of the cherry to score points.
As Cadillac aims to bag its best result yet, Pérez suggested it will take added risk during the weekend to walk away rewarded.
"It [the sprint format] puts a little bit more uncertainty on the weekend, a little bit more tension," Pérez added.
"On a street circuit, at a race that is so hard to get the confidence [to] build up, the driver can make a bit of a difference in these sort of weekends.
"Normally on a circuit, it takes you a bit of time to get up to speed. So, one practice into qualifying, it's good.
"We will give everything we have. We have to, especially for qualifying, we need to be able to overdeliver massively to get something.
"Baku was a good example. Hopefully, here can be a bit of the same."
