A majority of F1 fans believe Sergio Perez is worthy of an F1 seat higher up the pecking order following his strong start to the 2026 season.

Perez was dropped from the field at the end of the 2024 season following a miserable campaign with Red Bull alongside Max Verstappen.

However, he returned this year to form part of the Cadillac F1 line-up as the American squad embarked on its maiden campaign.

The Mexican has consistently outperformed team-mate Valtteri Bottas across the opening rounds, leading him 5-2 in the head-to-head metrics for both qualifying and race finishes.

RacingNews365 understands that Perez is being looked at by several teams amid his run of impressive performances.

We asked you, the F1 fans, if Perez is worthy of a drive higher up the pecking order with another team, while taking nothing away from the impressive job Cadillac has done to get itself on the grid this year.

Over 80 per cent of fans believe the Mexican is worthy of a seat higher up the order, with 45 per cent stating he should be in a top four team.

Less than one-fifth of voters think Cadillac is the right place for him.
