The 2021 Formula 1 season is about to return for round three, with the Portuguese Grand Prix taking place on April 30 - May 2.
Portugal's Algarve International Circuit was a slightly later addition to the 2021 calendar. It was confirmed in March that the event would fill a vacant spot in this year's schedule.
F1 returned to Portugal in October 2020 for the first time in 25 years and was the venue where Lewis Hamilton broke Michael Schumacher's record for the most wins in Formula 1 history, having achieved his 92nd victory at the circuit.
It could once again prove to be a record-breaking track for Hamilton. If the Briton qualifies his Mercedes in first place it will be the 100th pole position of his career.
The action gets underway on Friday April 30 with two practice sessions, followed by a third on Saturday prior to qualifying.
All the practice sessions have been reduced from 90 minutes to just one hour, while qualifying remains untouched. After that comes the third race of the season on Sunday.
