Rising British female star revealed for Formula E test

Envision are the latest team to reveal who it will be running in the first-ever all-female test next month in Valencia.

Envision Racing has confirmed that it will be running 18-year-old Alisha Palmowski in next month's all-female Formula E test, alongside the experienced Alice Powell.  Palmowski has enjoyed a phenomenal rookie season in single-seater racing which saw her win on debut, and was recently crowned vice-champion in the GB4 championship. She is one of the UK’s brightest single-seater talents and received €30,000 for being the highest-placed female driver in GB4.  Now, Palmowski will get to drive the newest FE machinery at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, an opportunity the young driver "cannot wait" for.  “I cannot wait to join Envision Racing for the all-women’s Formula E test next month in Valencia," said Palmowski.  "The car will be both faster and much different to anything I’ve previously driven so it is a great opportunity for me to learn and will be an amazing experience.  “I cannot thank everyone at Envision Racing enough for the opportunity, and I am also looking forward to working alongside Alice who has some great experience with these cars that I can hopefully learn from.” As mentioned, Palmowski will be alongside Envision's test and development driver, Powell. Powell last tested for Envision in last season's Berlin rookie test, at the Tempelhof Airport Circuit.  The all-female test will mark Powell's first opportunity to drive the team's Gen3 EVO car, something she is "very grateful" for.  “I am very happy to be back in a Formula E car for the second time in 2024, after participating in the Berlin rookie test earlier this year," said Powell.  "I’m looking forward to getting more laps in and helping the team as much as I can going forward into Season 11 and the GEN3 Evo era of the series.  “I am very grateful to the team for another chance to drive the car and the trust they continue to put in me.”
