Max Verstappen will be on pole position for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix following his victory in Saturday's Sprint.

The Dutchman had started in P1 for the event, before being overtaken for the lead by Charles Leclerc on the opening lap. However, as the race wore on, Verstappen was able to put himself back in front and take the win.

Leclerc held onto second, meaning that he will line up P2 for Sunday's Grand Prix. Sergio Perez is set to start from third after making progress through the field in the Sprint, whilst Carlos Sainz recovered from his qualifying crash to clinch fourth.

Zhou Guanyu, meanwhile, has been ordered by the stewards to start the race from the pit lane. The Alfa Romeo team were found to have breached the regulations by working on Zhou's car under parc ferme conditions following his DNF from the Sprint.

The starting grid below is provisional until confirmed by F1's governing body, the FIA.
