Although upgrades are not overly important for the Monaco Grand Prix, Red Bull still brought some minor boosts to the Principality.
According to the official FIA submissions document, minor changes to the front brake ducts were intended: "To attain the necessary cooling for the front brakes, a larger exit duct is available with a consequential trim to the gaitor sealing the upper wishbone."
In itself, a larger front brake duct opening is a good thing as it can aid cooling and keep temperatures under control, but braking is not a major concern in the Principality, and not a lot of heat is generated as opposed to tracks such as Bahrain or Canada.
Now, of course, the brake ducts are used to aid in the aerodynamics, which could be a reason behind Red Bull's upgrade, especially as brakes are a matter of hot discussion in F1 at the moment.
The FIA has been investigating, and to this point has cleared, McLaren's designs, specifically over the rear brakes, with Red Bull believing its rival could be using water to cool the tyres, something firmly banned under the rules.
The FIA inspected Oscar Piastri's car following the Miami GP, and gave focus to the brakes, but the MCL39 passed all checks.
