The FIA has explained its verdict in rejecting Red Bull's protest against Canadian Grand Prix winner George Russell.
Just under six hours after Russell took the chequered flag to secure the fourth win of his F1 career, he was finally able to savour his success after being kept on tenterhooks by Red Bull and the stewards at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Lando Norris has been warned by F1 champion Nico Rosberg that he faces ending up in a "really dark" place following the litany of errors this season that could cost him the drivers' title.
Rosberg, who endured his demons in going up against Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes before finally being crowned champion in 2016, feels McLaren driver Norris may find it difficult to emerge from such a situation given his downward spiral.

Christian Horner has disclosed that Red Bull spoke to F1 race director Rui Marques ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix in a bid to protect Max Verstappen from the threat of "gamesmanship".
The Milton Keynes squad's fear was that the Dutchman's precarious FIA penalty points situation rendered him vulnerable to rival drivers trying to antagonise or catch him out.
