Red Bull has announced the signing of a multi-year deal with cybersecurity firm 1Password, beating several major F1 rivals to the deal.

The partnership, the company's first in F1, will see the branding feature prominently on the new RB21 car, including the halo, steering wheel and across the chassis.

It will also be carried on the steering wheels of four-time defending champion Max Verstappen and his new team-mate Liam Lawson, who replaced Sergio Perez.

The sponsorship also extends to the Red Bull Formula 1 Academy team, with it set to trickle down to Alisha Palmowski's entry in the championship.

RacingNews365 understands that 1Password was approached by rival F1 teams over a deal, including McLaren and Mercedes, but that it ultimately chose to sign with Red Bull.

“Everyone at Red Bull Racing is excited to welcome 1Password to the Red Bull family as our exclusive Cybersecurity Partner," said boss Christian Horner.

"As the start of the 2025 Formula 1 season approaches, it is critical that our entire organisation has secure, trusted access to critical information so we can continue to make confident, data-driven decisions trackside and back at the factory in Milton Keynes.

"1Password investing and partnering in the Red Bull Racing [F1] Academy programme shows further proof of the spirit and depth of our collaboration.

"We look forward to pushing the limits and innovating with 1Password, including debuting a team-first steering wheel branding display that will feature when Max and Liam first hit the track."

Red Bull's new RB21 machine is set to break cover for the first time at a filming day in Bahrain, the day before pre-season testing kicks off on February 26.

The new livery is set to be unveiled at the upcoming F1 75 event on February 18 at London's O2.
