Yuki Tsunoda is to make his F1 return for Racing Bulls this weekend, deputising for Liam Lawson at the Dutch Grand Prix.
Lawson himself is returning to Red Bull in place of the injured Isack Hadjar, who has suffered a wrist injury and is unable to compete in the weekend.
For Tsunoda, he will drive alongside Arvid Lindblad in his first start for the team since the 2025 Chinese GP, after which he was promoted to Red Bull, ironically in place of Lawson.
The Japanese driver lost his seat for 2026 to Hadjar, but was kept on as third and reserve driver, and has been given the opportunity to deputise for the Frenchman.
"Racing Bulls can confirm that Liam Lawson will race for Red Bull Racing at the Dutch Grand Prix this weekend due to Isack Hadjar’s wrist injury," began a team statement.
"As a result of the driver change, Reserve Driver Yuki Tsunoda, will race for Racing Bulls in Zandvoort this weekend, alongside Arvid Lindblad.
"We thank both Liam and Yuki for their adaptability as the teams prepare for the weekend and we wish Isack a speedy recovery."
