F1 team principals have given their tentative approval towards a rookie sprint race being held after the 2024 season, but RacingNews365 wants to know your opinion.

The sprint race, which would be held in Abu Dhabi and be a non-championship affair, is under discussion by F1 bosses in a bid to hand young drivers more relevant running in grand prix cars as opposed to the sometimes unrepresentative first practice sessions.

On-track time for young drivers has been limited in recent years, with the 2024 field featuring no rookie drivers at the start, until Williams axed Logan Sargeant and brought in its F2 rookie Franco Colapinto.

The idea for the sprint has been discussed by the F1 Commission, but we want to know your opinion on the idea.

Vote in the poll below and let us know what you think in the comments.
